The ICSC Observatory publishes reports that focus on a different theme each month. This month’s report is: “Observations on… space economy.”

Starting from the state of the art in research and application within the chosen field, the Observatory’s task is to build multiple future scenarios. Thanks to emerging technologies—with a focus on supercomputing, but not limited to it—what innovations can we expect? In what ways will businesses and society as a whole benefit from this process of technological transfer into everyday life?

Focusing on the projects currently underway at the National Research Center in HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing, the Observatory will gather scenarios and use cases. The watchword is concreteness: the reports do not remain on a theoretical level; rather, they aim to delve into the projects that have been successful, their impacts, and their reproducibility.
