The ICSC Observatory has published the results of the research “Industry Competitiveness 2035: Four Scenarios on how emerging technologies will shape the industry of the future.”

The research falls within the field of Future Studies and was carried out in collaboration with the futurists of Futures Platform, who co-facilitated the development of four possible future scenarios exploring the prospects of competitiveness for medium-large Italian companies, enabled by the evolution of artificial intelligence and its enabling technologies. Each of the four scenarios has been given an evocative title:

• Scenario 1: Graceful Dependance
• Scenario 2: Sovereign Synergy
• Scenario 3: Peripheral Dependency
• Scenario 4: Fragmented Fortesses

The report also presents valuable strategic insights and open questions, serving as food for thought for industry professionals and academic experts.
